The Jonah Project aims to end sex slavery in Spokane, Washington and the surrounding community by creating an avenue for victims of trafficking to reach out for help and receive compassionate,    transparent aftercare.The Jonah Project works preemptively to offer education and mentoring to at-risk youth, responsively to provide emergency relocation and housing, and restoratively to           
provide advocacy for each survivor as they walk through life.

Nicole Bishop is a graduate of Mead High School and Amherst College, where she obtained her B.A. in Political Science in 2012. She has interned in the White House writing speeches for VP Biden and served as Senator Cantwell's Eastern Washington intern. Currently, she serves as Vice-Chair on the Spokane Human Rights Commission, where she also chairs the Anti-Human Trafficking Subcommittee. She serves as Director of Community Relations Jonah Project, works as an assistant debate coach at Mt. Spokane High School, and recently started work in the Marketing and Communications Department at SNAP. Spokane was a warm and welcoming place to her and her family as she grew up with lack of resources; she is now grateful for the opportunity to give back.
