NDC (New Distribution Capability) is a travel industry-supported program launched by IATA for the development and market adoption of a new XML-based data transmission standard.  NDC enhances the capability of communications between airlines and travel agents.  It will enable the travel industry to transform the way air products are retailed to corporations, leisure and business travelers, by addressing the industry’s current distribution limitations:  product differentiation and time-to-market, access to full and rich air content and, finally, transparent shopping experience.

Shelly Younger is originally from Oklahoma and spent a great deal of time in Texas as well.  She started her career in the banking industry and began a second life in the airline industry in 1995, working for American Airlines in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She worked in corporate receivables including travel agency services and managed the agency auditing (yes, that means debit memos!) team.

In 2005, she had the opportunity to move to the East coast and began working at ARC.  She has worked across multiple areas at ARC but the majority of her time has been focused on distribution and settlement.  Shelly is currently the Senior Manager of Industry Relationships and her team is responsible collaborating with external customers and strategic partners to understand their strategic direction, identify business and technology needs and apply those needs to deliver high quality results..  This includes NDC, ONE Order and Settlement with Orders, maintaining relationships with System Providers and the Debit Memo Working Group.  Shelly loves living in Northern Virginia and spends a great deal of time outside, hiking and walking with her crazy dog, Lola.
